We have the first diesel railcar to be delivered to Hull in 1957
on its first trial on the Hornsea line and returning through Sutton station on its way back to Hull.

And finally, the first view again . . . with a bit of magical digital treatment.
It opens in a new window without this side menu, and in Firefox, centred with a black background.
Again, it is copyright, same details as above.

It was through the good offices of Ken Mell, former Sutton resident and chorister at St James' Church, that we have acquired permission to display these excellent historic photographs of the greatly missed railway link between Hull and Hornsea.
I would like to thank Ken publically for making them available to us.
