Pte Charles A. Rudings 2034,
& 23386, Lancashire
Fusiliers.
After being in Sutton, where
he signed Elsie's book on 2
February 1915.
His record shows that he
signed up to fight on 25
September, 1914, so very
early in the war.
Whatever the injury that
brought him to Sutton, it
was enough to cause his
discharge from the service,
though we can see that he
did go to France, hence his
award of the basic three War
Medals, those being the
14-15 Star,
The British War Medal, and
the Victory Medal.
The previous cartoon of a
German bull and rag, was
also by Charles.
