The lovely Celtic cross outside the porch of St Peter's, Wawne,
that commemorates the three sons of Wawne
who lost their lives in the two World Wars.

There is a similar view of St James' ..
click the link on the Sutton Memorial page.

I'm pleased to now be able to say that we can now post
an index list of the graves in St Peter's churchyard
in the same way that we have for St James' in Sutton.
The list, along with the full grave details in the
Monumental Inscription booklet (the MIs) for Wawne
are the copyright of the East Yorkshire Family History Society.
The new index is now posted on a separate page, to be found HERE.

We have the list for St James' by virtue of Bernard Sharp's hard work
over two years in photographing every grave, and the list we show that came
from it is in fact only a list of the photos,
allied to the actual grave numbers as shown in the booklets.
The booklets still need to be consulted to see the actual inscriptions.
