Assorted mystery photos of people and places somewhere in the East Riding area

They come from an archive passed to us some years ago,
but none of them are of Sutton or Wawne.

THESE IMAGES ARE PRESENTED HERE
are also strictly copyright  ... for now, until we find who really owns them.

We post these here, in the hope someone WILL recognise them, and perhaps claim individual photos as their own, of their own family, workplace, wherever.  My feeling is that they are mostly connected to Beverley, as some have already been positively indentified as a workplace in the town.  Here we have three others to be going on with.

See what you think, we're really interested to know.  C'mon, give us a clue .. ..  anyone ?

Well, as of April, 2024, we now know where this is.  Thanks to Google search, we can
confidently say this is the vicarage at Wing, in Hertfordshire.   Other pics that were in
the same folder were of this handsome old church ...  All Saints Church, Wing.

The casts of two plays perhaps, maybe the characters will identify them ... and maybe "The Players".
We have several such photos, some of actual scenes, some of the cast like these.

On parade here.  Taking the salute.  And we also know where this is now.
It's the back of Wawne Hall, or Waghen Hall.
This was taken during a short period in 1942 when a battalion of the Royal Artillery
used the hall as their Regimental HQ.  So it was local after all.  We have several others too.

The more I look through this huge archive, the more convinced I am this was a 'clearout' of old slides from a professional photographic studio.  Perhaps in Beverley itself, or maybe even York or Hull.
I have my suspicions of where some are, but we need positive ID.  Someone somewhere will have an original print of one of these, and hopefully, on the back will be the studio stamp.

For instance, we have a couple of dozen taken at the Sledmere monument, whole bus trips,
from Hull and area clubs and societies, taken in the 1950s.  They're on the other
'Mystery Photo Archive' page.
